As someone who has bought, completely overhauled, and sold three different homes right here at Lake Oconee, I can tell you firsthand: looking past the outdated paint and closed-off floor plans pays off on every single level. 1. Marina Cove: From Dark to Daylight

This property had the ultimate lottery ticket: it was right on the water with one of the most breathtaking views in the entire neighborhood. The problem? The inside didn't match the outside.

The Before: It featured a cramped, dark galley kitchen that was completely sectioned off from the rest of the house.

The After: We knocked down the barriers to create a massive, sunlit, open-concept kitchen centered around a huge island with seating for six. Now, the view inside matches the view outside.

2. Crackers Neck Road: Escaping the 1990s

Located right around the corner, this home was a time capsule of 1990s design trends. We took it on a journey through time, dragging it out of the '90s and firmly into the modern era.

The Transformation: The home had incredible bones worth preserving, such as the heart pine floors. Yet, the primary bedroom had white carpet. No problem - we know the experts who can match old to new and seamlessly blend it in to match. 3. Liberty Bluff: The Ultimate Modern Makeover

This was the largest project of them all. It started as a maze of dark, closed-off rooms with absolutely no flow.

The Transformation: We completely reconfigured the floor plan to bring it right into the 2020s, opting for a bright, sweeping, open-concept design. To top it all off, we even added a brand-new pool in the backyard to maximize the outdoor living space. This was a large and expensive project, but I would do it all over again tomorrow.
