Lakefront Pavilion
A brand-new addition to the Lake Oconee dining scene in 2026, Lakefront Pavilion sits at 920 Greensboro Road (the former Bone Island Grillhouse site). Operating as half of a dual-concept venue alongside a newly opened, upscale Italian Chophouse, the Pavilion is dedicated entirely to "lake days done right."
Open Thursday through Monday, boaters can cruise right up, head straight to the outdoor pavilion for drinks from the full bar, and enjoy a menu of delicious, casual bites crafted for waterfront lounging.
My Menu Favorite: The Godfather Italian Sub.
Gaby’s by the Lake
When we first discovered Lake Oconee back in 2015, a series of lazy, perfect afternoons spent at Gaby’s convinced us to pull the trigger and buy a home here. Located at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, Gaby’s features a breathtaking indoor/outdoor space framed by heavy timber and stone architecture.
Don't let the open-air vibe fool you. This is a year-round destination, complete with roaring fireplaces and outdoor heaters during the cooler months.
My Menu Favorite: The Backyard BBQ Nachos.
Burch x Boathouse
Chef Casey Burchfield introduced the lake area to what might just be the best smashburgers on the planet. So when Harbor Club’s Boathouse restaurant needed a revitalization, Chef Burchfield came to the rescue.
Located on the Richland side of Lake Oconee, it is an easy, scenic boat ride. As a huge bonus, you can fuel up your boat right at the Harbor Club marina while you eat, making this the ultimate pit stop on a long lake day.
My Menu Favorite: The Smashburger, of course!
Fine Dining on the Water
Amore Del Lago
Also nestled inside The Ritz-Carlton, Amore Del Lago is easily one of the most beautiful dining venues in the region. Situated on the terrace level of the Ritz, it boasts an indoor/outdoor bar, a dedicated pizza kitchen with a chef’s table, and a private dining room for special occasions.
It effortlessly captures the energy and elegance of an upscale Buckhead restaurant right here on the water.
My Menu Favorite: The Pork Milanese.
Great Waters Overlook
Offering what is arguably the finest view on Lake Oconee, The Overlook is a members-only club restaurant nestled inside the Great Waters subdivision at Reynolds Lake Oconee. There is plenty of excitement surrounding the space right now, as a full renovation was recently announced.
In its current setup, you can enjoy dramatic sunset dining overlooking the pristine golf course and the sparkling lake beyond. Pro tip for Reynolds residents: If you don't feel like driving your own boat, you can take advantage of the private boat shuttle and Captain Gerald is truly one in a million!
My Menu Favorite: The Colossal Crab Cake. (I’ll be shocked if it doesn’t make a triumphant return to the menu post-remodel - it consistently sells out!).
